No One Saves You. You're Creating Your Reality.
Michael: So just in the, it's been
a really intense week of evolution,
of unearthing the dead bodies
And just in this moment
I was in this place of experiencing
You know, the, the
this identity, this, you know,
perspective of, of what I am,
you know, the f- you know, the,
the constructed wounded self.
And we're in this place of
understanding that we're the ones
creating that experience, and that
experience is not the truth, and
the truth is something beyond that
And in this moment, there is this,
this new experience of opening where
That's all there, and then you know,
well, it's the mind and having this
awareness of the construct of the
mind within my own being that is I.
It's the separate thing, and it's also
the I, the little I or the me or whatever.
There's no words to really describe this.
And then turning the mind back
upon itself, my mind back upon
itself, the lie back upon itself
and saying, "Well, who am I?
I'm not this construct of discomfort
and limitation in my being.
Who am I?"
And what happened, this is not the
first time I've asked this question,
but what happened this time is
something different, something unique.
This
The mind reaching out with who am I
and touching into the pure awareness
of my being, the isness, the big I
And there was this moment, it, this
is like this, I'm feeling it now.
There's this flash of the Michelangelo
mural on the ceiling of the, the finger
of man reaching out to touch the finger
of God, and the, there's this spark.
There's this spark where the mind
recognizes
its true identity as source consciousness.
That it's not separate
and it never has been
And by being feel like there's
just this letting go, this opening
And when I think about, you know,
teachings are truth, truth, truth, lie
And, you know, there's this idea
that I'm just staying in connection
with this, this, this connection,
this unraveling happening in my being
But at the same time
The unraveling's happening,
and yet I can still function.
I can still be aware of what's
happening in the environment.
I can still do things.
It's a very different
state than ever before.
massive purification and functioning
And so the, the limited perception or
the truth-truth lie is that the mind
is this limited thing that
cannot know source consciousness.
And, and the half-truth there is that
the deviated form of the mind or the
mind in allegiance to separation, the,
cannot know the tru-- I mean, that's
the whole, that's the whole separation.
It's like the mind chooses to
hide the truth of what it is from
itself to create an experience.
And, you know, we're the
living result of that choice
And that
The mind in its wholeness is fully in the
understanding of what and who it is as a
mechanic of creation, as the programmer
of all reality, as source consciousness
And what I'm experiencing my being right
now is this, this, this letting go,
this unraveling of all that is not that
We almost started this
podcast earlier in the day
I was having this moment of,
of clarity where I was thinking
about our, our teacher Bhagwan,
uh, of Oneness University, who
created Oneness University.
Audree: In India.
Michael: In India and the Oneness Temple
and really, really, and, you know, was
Just an extraordinary being, really.
Uh, I mean, actually an avatar.
Audree: And- I say he's the real deal.
Michael: Yeah, he- 100%,
he's the real deal.
And so what his, his, his power is,
his gift is, is actually of, uh, full
awakening immediately in the deviation.
And I was just feeling into, like
Wow.
How truly remarkable.
Knowing the mechanics of creation and
all that is involved to allow someone to
experience the peace, the stillness of
mind in the deviation and, and all that
it takes in the mechanics of creation to
do that, I w- I was just sitting in awe.
In com- That
Audree: he has that ability.
Michael: That he has that ability.
Audree: He can give that to people,
and he does on a regular basis.
Michael: And so
I mean, really truly awe.
I mean, this is extraordinary
And then I was thinking about, okay, well
What, what's going on in the mechanics?
If, if with this extraordinary abilityâ¦
Well, why don't we all do that?
Why don't we all go to Bhagwan and,
you know, you know, get the get out
of jail free card and, and, and so on?
Well, it's, it's- We've tried
Audree: that.
Michael: Yeah.
Audree: It doesn't work.
Michael: Well, it's not
that it doesn't work.
It, it's, it's, it's
more complex than that.
I mean, there's certain conditions
and purification needed and so on.
However, what Bhagwan is doing is part
of the tapestry of all creation of
this evolutionary program for humanity.
And it's -- if we look at the, the whole
kind of playbill of the whole event,
it's, it's actually a, a warm-up act
And I say warm up act because the
whole evolutionary program that's
happening now is not about simply-
Audree: Becoming enlightened
⦠Michael: becoming enlightened and having
the mind shut off, living in the deviation
in that construct.
That's not what's happening
in the evolutionary program.
What's happening in the
evolutionary program is for us
to take total responsibility
That we are creating our reality.
And what that process does, what that
evolutionary does when we keep on saying
yes to that purification process, that yes
to taking respon- full 100% responsibility
for our life, and what that, that mechanic
does is it moves us in a place to, to
create within the six phase frequency in
alignment with the mechanics of creation,
not in alignment with the deviation.
And so that requires a full purification
out of the deviation and understanding
and being in a place where we have
that understanding of the mechanics
of creation, so we can participate
in creation outside the deviation.
Right?
Right now people are, are, you know,
that Bhagwan is gifting are in this
awakened state, their mind is shut off,
and they're able to participate in the
deviation in deviated ways of functioning
and, and that's, that's the, the, the-
Audree: Well
Michael: for-
what appears to be the difference.
I don't really understand the whole thing.
I
Audree: was just- So I do
⦠Michael: contemplating.
Um.
So,
Audree: so fir- first of all, um, you
know, with the, the monks within, within
their community, they're-- He can, he
can give them the gift of that immediate
shutting off and that immediate state
of higher consciousness where the
mind shuts off and you're experiencing
life almost like in a different realm
And you're non-functional in society.
So what they do is, this is a great
story, is that, um, that they only do a
certain amount of monks at a time, and
then the other monks take care of them.
So they have to be fed and bathed and
clothed and like the, the mind shuts
off so completely that they're very--
they're like in primitive state.
So when you s- when you go to
India, this is my favorite story.
When you go to India and like especially
like Tiruvannamalai, you will see
monks or they're, they're-- you could
tell they're dressed in, in orange,
um, cloths, and they're just sitting
on the, on the side of the road, and
they're like staring off into space.
But they're in this total bliss
state because there's no limitation.
The mind is not in a state
of pain and suffering.
There's no, you know, thoughts
going on that will create harm and
damage and like all that is shut
off, so they're just experienc-
experiencing life in the moment.
And, uh, I had a, a great friend
when I described, you know, the first
time I went to Tiruvannamalai and I
saw this and I was like, "Oh my God,
these guys are-- they're in samadhi."
You know?
There's all these monks in samadhi,
not from the Oneness University,
but from, from a, um, this was, uh,
Ramana Maharshi's, uh, kind of place.
And my friend was saying, "Oh,
you mean homeless people."
And it's like it's so true because it's
like they couldn't function in society.
And so at, at Oneness University,
it was the same kind of thing.
It was like they were in this great
state, yet there was no integration
in how to function in day-to-day life.
And so-- And they left some of these
monks in these states for like 10 years,
and then they would slowly-- it would
take like a year to pull them out of
this state so they can function, and
their whole brain is rewired, so they
were able to hold the transmission to
teach the work, and they became teachers,
and they opened up their, their courses
to Western people and stuff like that.
But Um, in the, in the beginning of
them opening up courses to Westerners,
what would happen was that they would
put the Westerners into these states,
and they weren't able to go back home.
The f- the level of functioningâ¦
Uh, it, it didn't-- It wasn't like
everybody that happened to, but it
was like just one or two people that
happening to was enough for them to
kinda shut down what they were doing.
Michael: Turn down the energy.
Audree: Turn down the energy,
turn down their power.
So that's what I mean by the real deal.
Like, um, I'm a huge debunker of
healers and, and different teachers.
So, uh, I don't believe anything until
I actually can experience it for myself.
That's why I could say
they're the real deal.
But what is happening
And I think Bhagwan actually knew this
because in the beginning he was like, "I,
I want you to become teachers in your own
right with your own work, and I'm gonna
give you the power to be able to do what
I do, yet you're gonna go into the West."
'Cause he knew that there was thisâ¦
He knew that whatever he was
doing couldn't leave India.
India already has the culture.
They have the respect.
They have the understanding of
a shift in consciousness where
they could take care of people.
And, and what we saw when we were
there was that people weren't holding
a high state of consciousness.
They weren't living and functioning
in a high state of consciousness.
Maybe they had an experience at the
temple or in the classroom of a shift,
but they, they weren't able to integrate
that into daily life, and that's where,
like, we were like, "Oh my gosh."
Like, we would come home and
we were able to integrate
because we were using our work.
Michael: Well, this is what Iâ¦
This is the epiphany I got.
Audree: Okay.
Michael: Is that our work was born out
of going to, for me, in part, part of
it, the deeper part of it was going to
India, having these amazing experiences
and going, "Well, what do I do to, toâ¦
What do I do now?
What do I do- Mm-hmm ⦠with my family?
What do I do- Mm-hmm
at work?
What do I do, like, to, to navigate
the, the stuff going on inside me?"
And, and there, there was no tooling.
Audree: Mm-hmm.
Michael: Right?
It was just like, "We give you these
frequency, give you these contemplations.
Good luck," right?
A- and, and that- I
Audree: think I w- just-
Michael: W- let me finish.
Audree: Okay.
Michael: And so I'm really excited.
So, so that's
Audree: where- I just wanted
to defend the university.
But, but, okay.
But go ahead.
Um.
I'll defend it later.
Michael: Yeah.
Um.
And so
I'm seeing a very deep parallel here.
Audree: Mm-hmm.
Michael: That 'cause everything's
a fractal, I mean, that's what
we're discovering is like, you
know, everything's just a fractal
of everything else 'cause there
is just one, one creation.
But the seed of like, "Oh,
how do I make this practical?
How do I use this to
function in the real world?"
That's what sort of created an impulse
for the work that we downloaded,
created, co-created, and so on.
Audree: Developed.
A-
Michael: and what I'm seeing here is
a parallel, and I think the, uh, our
guides, the, the she told us this.
It's like, look, they're not
getting us to a state to be
like, um, Ramana Maharshi Yogi.
Am I getting this right?
Audree: Ramana Maharshi.
You're confusing- I,
Michael: know, I'm getting con-
Yeah ⦠there are too many.
Anyway.
Audree: You're confusing two
Michael: different- The, anyway,
the guy in Tiruvannamalai.
Yeah.
And so when he, he- Ramana
Audree: Maharshi
⦠Michael: Ramana Maharshi, when he
was, you know, a teenager and he
contemplated death and came up with
this, you know, questioning of who
am I, y- when he reached a state of
bliss, he reached an enlightened state
and he sat in the temple, he sat in
the temple with bugs eating his flesh.
And so- Oh, yeah ⦠I think what
we can say is that the old mechanism
within the deviation was to move
to an enlightened state and become
non-functional, and then, you know,
I think there are some people who are
able to be functional and be somewhat
in that state or partly in that state.
I don't really know
how the mechanic works.
And what the, what the she said is
like, "That's not what we're here for.
We're here to be functioning.
We're here to be in that state-"
Of the knowledge of the truth of what
and who we are in that, that bliss
state in the world, functioning in
the world as source consciousness
incarnate in the material realm.
It's a very different mechanic.
Audree: Yes.
Michael: And so what I see is
the parallel of what the impulse
was of like, well, how do we make
this practical in the real world?
Mm-hmm.
It's the, the bigger arc is really how
do we make, uh, uh, an enlightened way
of functioning so that we're actually
practical and functional in the real
world, not just sitting in the mountain.
Right,
Audree: because that's
the evolution of humanity.
Yeah.
We're moving all of society
into new ways of functioning.
In order to do that, there has to
be a shift in consciousness first.
Michael: So really this whole
notion of, you know, anybody
who goes, "Oh, I want peace.
I just wanna sit on top of the
mountain," that's not what it is.
Audree: Mm-hmm.
Michael: That's not what it is.
That's not the evolution program.
That's the escape mechanism
of, "I can't take this.
I don't want to evolve.
I just wanna have a little
bit of peace and survive."
Audree: Yeah.
You know, you know, um, I'm
being remind- It's the quit
Michael: card
⦠Audree: I'm being reminded right now of,
um, studying Kundalini Yoga, and Yogi
Bhajan always said, "You're a householder.
You're not a yogi sitting
on top of a mountain- Mm.
Mm ⦠in a state of higher consciousness.
You're a householder."
He wanted everybody to be in the world,
functioning in the world, because
that was the whole integration, and he
knew that the Aquarian Age was coming.
Oh, yeah.
He knew that the shift-
Michael: He, he set up for it.
Audree: I mean, yeah.
Ev- oh, you s- you studied ⦠That's
so weird 'cause you studied- I,
I, I- ⦠Kundalini Yoga from a
different ⦠Like, I c- I studied- I
Michael: did a ch- I did a cheat card.
I, I was in this relationship, uh, like
I guess my second serious relationship,
and, uh, after I was divorced.
And, uh, um, I think the, the
partner I was with, she, she'd done
stuff with Kundalini Yoga before.
Mm-hmm.
I hadn't done anything, but they had this
two-day weekend relationship course, and
so I said, "Oh, this- w- we can do that."
Mm-hmm.
And, uh, 'cause y- and, uh-
Audree: Yeah, I just went to the Kundalini
certified teacher training program.
Michael: Exactly, right?
Audree: And it was like, you know-
Michael: Ev- and normally
for this thing- Over a year
you need to have prerequisites, but
you know, just like I- we've done with
other things, we just kinda skated by
all that- Mm-hmm ⦠and showed up.
Audree: Mm-hmm.
Michael: Anyway.
Sorry, what did you do?
Certified teacher training?
Yeah.
Oh yeah, you, you did.
You had the whole white- ⦠white
turban going on for a while.
Audree: I was over it
Michael: by a year.
Mm-hmm.
Right, you almost got killed that way.
Audree: It's
Michael: my
Audree: yoga teacher's favorite story.
Michael: How you, h- how, how kundalini
yoga teacher training could be
dangerous for your health and safety.
Audree: Oh my God.
So my ex-husband is a police officer
And, uh, this was after my,
after my teacher training.
I graduated and, umâ¦
So in teacher training for over a
year, you're, you're every single
morning you're waking up at 3:00 in
the morning, you take a cold shower,
you put on your whites and your turban,
and you go to sadhana at- It was
Michael: a year?
Audree: Over a year.
Michael: Wow, I'm a complete
slacker compared to you.
Audree: Yeah, you are.
Um, anyways, that's why it was
my class at Oneness University.
It's like now you're getting it.
It's also why I'm Sorcerer Supreme- Damn
⦠because I've actually done the work.
Michael: One year, wow.
Audree: Over a year.
Michael: Yeah.
Audree: Yeah.
So, um, anyways, so- So I, so ev-
And that's every morning for over
a year while we're in teacher
training, we go to sadhana, which,
uh, it's at the yoga studio.
And it's our yoga practice
at 4:00 in the morning.
Like that in- It starts
Michael: at
Audree: 4:00?
It starts at 4:00, 4:30 every single
morning because the whole entire
thing is as a teacher, you're holding
a high state of consciousness,
so you could teach all day long.
So you have to do your practice
before you start teaching.
And so And at 4:00 in the morning
is the best time to do your yoga
practice because the, the ethers-
The thought spheres ⦠it's quiet.
Yeah.
Everybody's in a REM state.
So, um- Not getting
Michael: as much toxic
Audree: pollution
⦠everybody's sleeping.
Yeah.
Michael: Yeah.
Audree: So, um, so after, after my-
Michael: Wait, wait.
I wanna tie something in.
Audree: What?
Michael: I, I just got this.
When we say we're swimming
in an ocean of shit.
Audree: We're really
swimming in an ocean of shit.
Michael: Exactly.
At 4:00 o'clock in the morning-
Audree: There's no shit
⦠Michael: there's, there's less shit.
Audree: Less shit.
Michael: Yeah.
Yeah.
Audree: Exactly.
Michael: I just got that.
Audree: Oh, very good.
Michael: Okay, go.
Audree: I'm like how long
have I been saying that?
10 years with you?
Michael: Well, I just got that, oh,
that's why the nighttime is good is
because there's less activity going
on, so it, it's energetically cleaner.
I
Audree: know.
I'm just shocked that
you're just getting it now.
Michael: Remember what I said?
Audree: No.
Michael: I'm a slacker.
Audree: You're a slacker.
In
Michael: some ways.
Audree: Yeah.
In some ways.
Um, yeah, but you can run
circles around me on the
computer, so- Yeah ⦠it's okay.
We all have our skills.
Story.
So after my certification, I stopped going
to sadhana all the time, and I remember
just one time I, I slowly drifted off
from going to sadhana in the mornings.
And then one time I couldn't sleep,
I was up at 3:00 in the morning.
I'm like, "Obviously I'm not
going to sleep right now.
I'll go to sadhana."
So I take a shower, I put my whites
on, and I wake up Josh, my, myâ¦
Oops, I shouldn't have said his name.
Um, I wake him up to
to, uh, you know, 'cause we
have kids, and I need to tell
him that I'm leaving the house.
And I go just to gently wake him
up, and I'm like, you know, kind of
lightly touching him, standing over
him, and he wakes up, and he gra-
the first thing he does is he grabs
my throat and starts choking me.
And I went, "It's me, it's me, it's me."
And
Yeah.
And he's basically choking me, and I
c- I can't breathe, and I'm about to,
like, literally pass out, and then
he realizes that it's, that it's me.
Michael: That you're not a ghost.
Audree: And I'm not a ghost.
And he's like, "Oh my God,
I thought you were a ghost."
Michael: Yeah, so how Kundalini teacher
training can be dangerous for your health.
Audree: Exactly.
Fun stories.
I have fun stories.
Michael: You have the best stories.
Audree: Oh my God.
I remember- Your
Michael: total 3-5 profile.
Audree: I know.
I remem- I would go to Barbara Brennan.
I'd be there for, like, a, a week.
Like, a longer than eight days, and
he'd pick me up from the airport,
like, on a Saturday evening.
Mm.
I'm coming home, and he
would take me to the House of
Blues, and we'd go see a band.
And I'm like, I'm like so expanded
out, and I'm, like, seeing energy,
and I'm seeing how the, the, like,
the two, the guitar players, you
know, on stage, how their energies are
connecting and, like, all this stuff.
And I'm like, it would blow me out.
Like, literally it wouldâ¦
And I would be like, "I can'tâ¦"
I'm like, "I can't do this anymore.
You can't take me, you can't
take me to go see a band."
He would, he would do that all the time,
like, demand that I go do something, like,
the minute I got home, which is how I
asked him for a divorce, 'cause he's like
He was like demanding,
"Are we staying together?
Are we staying together?"
And I, I wasn't like
He just had picked me up from
the airport, and I had been in,
you know, Egypt for like three
weeks, and I was just like, "Ah."
And then we went to go see Disney on
Ice or something like with the kids, and
I was like, like I, I couldn't ⦠You
know, it was just like so weird.
It was like not want- Like so this ⦠I
was like, why am I telling this story?
So this is what happens, is that when you
go to a retreat, you can go to Vipassana,
that silent meditation retreat, or
you go to this great yoga retreat, or
like us, we would go to India, or I'd
go to, you know, healing school, you
know, for weeks on end all year long.
Like, I, I mean, you know, my
path was very intensive, rigorous.
And it wasn't like I would
go somewhere for the weekend.
I would be there for a week,
come home, and leave four
weeks later and go back again.
But it's like you're in this
expanded state of consciousness.
You're in a community where, you
know, you're, you're secluded.
Like your phones are shut off.
You're shut off from the rest of
the world, and you're focused on,
on shifting your energy field.
You're focused on shifting
your consciousness.
You're doing the practices that allow you
to be in that high vibrational state that
is needed to actually rewire your brain
And then the end of the retreat comes,
or the end of that time comes, and it's
like, "Well, how do I maintain this?"
Michael: It's not even that.
It's you're, you're, you're cultivating
this, uh, higher frequency state.
Audree: Mm-hmm.
Michael: And, and having some
success in that, and then you come
back to, you know, the deviated
relationships- Your job ⦠the deviated-
Audree: The kids
⦠Michael: workplace.
You know?
Your husband.
The whole deviated situation of life.
Audree: The dogs.
Michael: Which you have allegiance to.
Yes.
Which is your identity.
Yes.
And so what's happening is there's a,
there's an, you know, identity conflict.
There's the part of you that wants
to evolve, the part of you that wants
to be the authentic self within you.
Uh, a- and, and that's the one
that wants the higher frequency.
And then there's this other part of
you that is the deep, deep allegiance
to all the circumstances of your life.
Audree: You know, our conditioning-
Y- ⦠our traditions, our family.
Yeah.
Michael: I should be, you know, you
know, in this kind of relationship.
I should live this kind of life.
I should live in this location.
I mean, we can go on and on and on,
like, all the, the, the deviated,
distorted beliefs about what and
who you are that is the programming
that's containing your life.
And so then you're going like, "Ooh,
well, I have this thing, but how do Iâ¦"
Y- and this is where- How
Audree: do I integrate?
Michael: Well, no, no.
This is where the glitch is.
It's not even how do I integrate it.
I mean, that's the ask, but when I'm
looking at it now, it's like you're
actually using that to say, "Well,
how do I unravel, how do I move out of
this stuck state that I'm in so that
I have more of that in my daily life?"
And but here's the deal.
L- it's, it's not about how do I take
something new and just add it into
this piece of shit I have over here.
It's about how do I let go of
the shit that I'm holding onto.
Like, that's, that's literally-
Audree: So, and you and I have very
different perspectives, because I think
for you, you're like, "Leave the job.
Leave the relationship."
I, I, I'm,
Michael: I'mâ¦
Leave- That's not what I'm saying at all.
Audree: Okay.
That's
Michael: not at all
Audree: what I'm saying.
But normally you do.
Michael: That's not
what I'm saying at all.
Okay.
What I'm saying is just looking at the,
the allegiances we have to what's there.
I'm not saying to change or do this.
I'm just saying, like, r- like, l-
it's like, if there's something that
we're, we're doing that's activating
disturbance, I mean, our teaching is not
to g- to just get away from the situation.
No.
'Cause we'll just replicate it.
No.
Our teaching is work the root cause of it.
Audree: Yeah.
Michael: Right?
That's what our teaching is.
Audree: I know, but
sometimes you give advice.
I, I,
Michael: I understand I may have
said other things in the past.
Just be- Just be with-
Okay ⦠be here now.
Audree: Be here now.
Michael: As the, uh- I'm
trying ⦠as Ram Dass says.
What?
Audree: I said I'm trying.
Michael: Yeah.
Uh, it-
Audree: Ram Dass.
Michael: Yeah, Ram Dass.
That's what he, be here now, right?
And- And when I look at it, that's
what we use it for is, is that, is
that we stay connected to thatâ¦
I'm actually fi- coming up with
the, the, the, the structure is.
Audree: Mm-hmm.
Michael: That's what
happened with oneness.
We're there and we say, "Well,
I wanna keep that in my life.
What do I need to do to keep that?"
And what we do, what it does is it's
the, um, it's the antidote, and when
we hang on, and this is what the choice
to evolve is, we hang on to that yes to
our being, yes to that higher frequency,
yes to that state of peace, yes to
feeling well internally, yes to that
wholeness, that sense of wholeness.
When we keep on saying yes
to that, that gives us theâ¦
Wow, this is the transmission right here.
Mm-hmm.
That gives us the wherewithal to start
questioning and clearing and doing the
work to start opening up and having
our life not drastically change, not
go live in a monastery, that's not
what we're talking about, but start
to unwind the, the, the things that
are no longer serving us as much.
Audree: I'm gonna go deeper on this.
Good.
Because it's start questioning
your why are you creating this,
not your partner, not your boss.
See, that, I think that that's the
difference is that it's not about leaving
the, the, the reality that you are in.
It is about shifting your internal state
so the reality that you're in shifts and
changes, and it does it automatically.
And, and this is, this is, this is
really important because- This is
Michael: why we teach it in level one
⦠Audree: I know.
Right.
We're just going deeper on this.
So I canâ¦
A- and I'm just gonna use
my own, my own experience.
I can sit here and I can blame Michael for
everything that is going on in my life.
Which feels really great.
And what I've been noticing in
the past, 'cause we've been in this, like,
deep training program of really, really
examining the mind, is that the mind
is using the person or the situation in
front of you as a distraction so you don't
notice what your mind is doing and how it
is creating the reality in front of you.
Oh,
Michael: say that again.
That was really good.
Audree: I know.
Michael: Do it again.
Audree: The mind is using the person
or the experience or the situation in
front of you to distract you so you don't
become aware that your mind is actually
creating that reality in front of you.
Michael: And the experience
inside your body.
Oh, yeah.
Let's just pause here.
Oh, yeah.
Let's just pause
Audree: Your mind is using the
external reality to distract you
so you don't become aware that
it is creating your reality.
That's messed up
Michael: That is the mechanic of creation
Audree: Right there
When you can stop and turn inward
and question your own internalâ¦
Like, it's, it's very interesting because
From my evolution, I'm now in my head
going, "Why are you creating this?"
Why are you causing damage?
Why are you creating a
reality that's hurting me?
Michael: This is where I started
the whole story right here
Audree: Mm-hmm
⦠Michael: is having an awareness
of this intense disturbance in my
field, and then recognizing that
I, the mind, am the one creating it
And then asking, well, going
to the next step of, well, who
am I that I'm creating this?
Audree: I think the who am I still
gives you this mind thought thing where
if you just recognize that the mind
is creating pain and suffering for
you, then you feel inside your body.
Like I can feel- Mm-hmm ⦠in my heart
My chest area
This uncomfortable feeling.
And I just breathe into it.
I'm not trying to change anything.
I'm not trying to change a situation or
my thoughts or anything, but I'm- I'm not
Michael: trying to
change internal situation
Audree: Or the external situation.
I'm just breathing.
Michael: It's called awareness.
The primary mechanism of evolution
Audree: And I'm just recognizing,
yeah, doesn't feel good in my body
right now but I'm not letting go
I just had this rush of
tingling at the top of my head
And I have to say that this is
just the beginning of this process.
This process goes much, much deeper.
And it's a really, really good start.
So I can give you an experience of, um,
this is after my divorce, and I wanted
my daughters living with my, my ex,
and she's really angry at me
And I, I knew that I needed to call
her, but I was like kind of in fear.
I didn't wanna call her 'cause I knew
she was gonna be like short and like
non-talkative and not wanting to connect.
And, and I was like thinking
about this and then avoiding
calling her and I was like, "Why?
Why am I creating this?
So let's just go in, feel
the feelings, feel the hurt
And then I can't remember
what happened now.
I- if she called me or I called her,
and it was like a, an entirely new
conversation that I never had with her.
And from that moment on, there was so
much more opening in our, in our, in our
relationship that continued to unfold.
And now if I call her, I have to
make sure I have time because she
just talks and talks and talks.
But it's like, it'sâ¦
I mean, it's just-
You know, I didn't do anything.
I didn't have to say anything to her.
And I've-- this has repeatedly
happened over and over and over
again, and with our students, with my
clients, with me and our relationship.
That's why I brought up, you
know, I could blame everybody else
for what's going on in my life
Or I can just s- step back and
say, "Why am I creating this?"
And I could s- I could see the whole
lineage of, like, my dad and my
mom and all the relationships that
I've had, and my grandparents and
the relationships that they've had.
It's like there's this, this, uh, uh,
a, a lineage of, of, of devastation.
And if we look at all of society,
we're so distracted outwards.
You know, it's the politics, it's society,
it's the environment, it's this and
this and that and, you know, whatever.
And we, you know, we never look
internally because that's the
one place where you'll get caught
It's, it's the mind
that's distracting you.
And I'll say the mind.
And w- when we stop identifying
in pledging our allegiance
to this other way of being
things just start to gently shift
and start to effortlessly shift.
And it's not like your mind goes away,
but the quality of your mind shifts
and changes along with everything
else when you start to do this work.
The mind gets quieter.
Michael: Mm.
Well-
Audree: But you still ⦠The
Michael: mind has- First,
first it goes from, from
More negative dialogue
to more positive dialogue
Audree: Well, that's
what Bhagwan always says
Michael: Yeah
Audree: And no dialogue
But I would say it's not no
dialogue I- I- so what ⦠It's
not ⦠Yeah, so, so that's n- so
that's Bhagwan's teaching, you know?
Mm-hmm.
Um.
'Cause he would
Michael: try to- I- I'm
Audree: not, I'm not
Michael: gonna, I'm not
gonna go to a s- sutra
Audree: Well, he would, he would try
to explain the state- Yeah ⦠to
people that were never in the state.
I, I- And it was, it was his way of kind
of giving a transmission of the state, not
the actual ⦠Like, you were never- Right
⦠supposed to understand the teaching.
Michael: Right.
Well, let's just be clear.
No thought is a non-functional state.
Audree: Yeah.
Michael: So, so what, what I'm
experiencing now, I don't know is it,
this is the end point or, you know,
where, where this falls, but it's not
that the positive dialogue goes away.
It's that the source of the positive
dialogue shifts to higher frequency.
Audree: Mm-hmm.
Yeah.
Michael: I describe it that way.
Yeah.
So it goes from positive dialogue to, um,
dialogue that's in the flow of creation.
That, that's- Yeah,
Audree: that's why I said it's the quality
that changes- Right ⦠not the actual
⦠Like, the mind thinks it's gonna die.
Michael: Right.
Even negative to positive is just a,
it's just, it's just quality, right?
So what really what we're saying
is there's a frequency shift-
Audree: Mm-hmm
⦠Michael: in the thoughts.
It's not the thoughts go away, it's that
they shift from lower frequency, negative
thoughts, into what we call positive
dialogue, you know, solution mode and so
on, higher frequency, and then it goes to
even higher frequency where we're, we're
operating in alignment with creation-
Audree: Mm-hmm
Michael: not out of a separated
identity that where every
thought is connected with this-
Audree: Right.
We're
Michael: not- ⦠separate, separated
Audree: I There's your unity
consciousness where you're not
trying to survive that ⦠Yeah.
Right.
It's just the ⦠It, it, it has a
quality of a, a sense of stillness
and peace that comes along with it
Michael: that's like- And
peace and like total safety
super deep.
It's just like very, very different.
Audree: Yeah.
And you're not trying to
do anyth- It's, it's hard.
You can't, you can't explain it.
Michael: Well, we just did actually.
We actually did a good job.
Audree: Oh, congratulations.
Michael: Yeah, I think we can
give ourselves a gold star.
' Audree: Cause nobody else is gonna.
Michael: Yeah.
So,
uh, so there's something
I wanted to share.
Audree: Wait a minute.
Oh.
I'm gonna talk about ⦠Because
your perception shifts when you're
in a higher state of consciousness.
And so I'm g- Well- I have another story
⦠Michael: it, it's the other way around,
is your perception shifts, that makes
you in a higher state of consciousness.
Audree: We don't know which comes
first, the chicken or the egg.
Michael: Well, the perception
shift is the higher state of
consciousness 'cause we stop perceiving
ourselves as limited in survival-
Mm-hmm ⦠in a limited identity.
Audree: So I'm gonna, I'm gonna,
I'm gonna share a story here.
I'll try to make it quick.
I love your
Michael: stories.
Audree: Okay, good.
So my first waking state of consciousness
Was being in the crib.
I don't know, I must've
been, um, two months old.
Like, I could remember it
as if it was, like, now.
Like, I could feel this, the
terry cloth onesie that I was in.
I could see the, um-
Michael: The mobile
⦠Audree: the Winnie, the Winnie, uh,
the Pooh mobile over my head, and
crying, telling my mom that I was awake
And normally she would come in and
she wasn't coming in, and I was crying
and crying and crying and crying.
And literally, there was
something, some being saying
She's not coming.
Nobody's coming to help you
And this was such a profound
moment of I was like awake.
Like I was 100% awake with a f-
f- with full consciousness of a,
like a being of consciousness.
Like I wasn't a baby that had
no idea what was going on.
I was completely 100% awake
And, and that moment, it didn't last
very long, 'cause it was like I woke
up and that happened, and then I, I
don't have any real memory of like,
then everything went fuzzy again.
It was very strange.
And this, that moment stayed
with me my whole entire life.
Like I-
Michael: Haunting you.
Audree: Huh?
Michael: Haunting you.
Audree: Haunting me.
And my perspective was, as I grew
up as a child, was I'm alone and
nobody is gonna come to save me.
And I remember doing some work, uh,
uh, I don't even know if it was like
Tony Robbins or something like that
where, where they were saying, you
know, "Go back to your earliest memory.
What happened?"
And I was like, "Oh, that's my earliest
memory, is, you know, I'm alone
and nobody's gonna come to save me.
Nobody's gonna come to get me," and
doing some like weird re-parenting
thing and all this stuff.
And it was only a couple days ago where
I had this sudden insight, because we're
doing this work with the mind and turning
inward and really like being with the
mind and asking why are you creating this,
that I realized that, that like for even,
even for a long time I was like, "Was that
like a negative entity that came t- that
came to me, that was haunting me, that
like, you know, was this a bad being that
was like cursing my whole entire life?"
Like that moment was so pivotal that it
was a fundamental perspective that I've
had throughout my whole entire life that
has molded every single experience, that
has caused great amounts of anger, great
amounts of sadness, great amounts of
disconnection to people and to everything.
Like I could see it all.
And so a couple days ago, I had
this insight that, oh my God, that
incident, that one incident in
my life when I was just a tinyâ¦
I mean, like I even know the color.
It was like this like faded like almost
like this light green onesie terry cloth.
Two months old, like three months old.
Like I'm, was a baby,
like teeny tiny infant.
Um
That that moment
was the precursor to
the purpose of my life.
Go inward
That you are creating your reality.
Yes, nobody is going to save
you because you're the one
that's creating your reality.
It's not, it wasn't a bad thing.
And it was like in that moment, I
had this flash of insight where my
whole entire perspective shifted
Michael: Of your entire life
Audree: Of my entire life, that
that was actually the perfect thing.
It was like there was like an angel
at the foot of my bed telling me
what I would be doing with my life.
Michael: That no one was gonna come to
save you, you have to save yourself.
Audree: Mm-hmm.
Michael: Which is true for who?
Everyone.
Audree: Everyone.
Michael: Everyone.
Audree: Right, like I talk about,
like, how we pray outside to
a, uh, to a god outside of us.
Yeah, and, and I'm not discounting
a divine presence in our lives
because that is 100% there.
It's just that
When we stop, when we get distracted
outside- Mm-hmm ⦠we stop looking
at the real, the cause, the what
is actually the mechanics of
creation creating your reality.
Michael: Right.
So-
Audree: And that's, I mean, we
can say, well, you know, people
use thoughts and affirmations to
manifest and things like that.
There's a reason why you, you manifest
using your thoughts, or you visualize,
you know, what you want in your life.
There's, you know ⦠That's what I'm
saying, is like there's a reason why
people have all those techniques, is
because the mind is the programmer
that is programming your reality.
Michael: Right.
And at the same time, those are, are,
are largely vanity and surface and
don't work because it's actually the,
all the, the stuff in the subconscious,
all the dead bodies that are-
Audree: Right
actually fueling the thing.
The unworthiness, the self-judgment-
Mm ⦠the self-hatred, the
punishment, all these things that are
lying underneath it that ⦠Lying.
Michael: Lying, yeah.
Audree: Lying to you,
telling you- Yeah ⦠you're
Michael: unworthy.
Mm.
Audree: Yeah.
Michael: So, uh, either ⦠We
had a, a meeting with her advanced
students this week, and there's
one thing that I highlighted, which
I'm gonna highlight here, which is
what the mechanics of the journey are.
And we're all, or many of us are seeking
this, you know, success in life or
this state of peace or, you know, you
know, state of, you know, you know,
just being at peace finally and the
success that can come through that.
And
It's like we're chasing something outside
of ourself, and what we're already
saying is that it's actually within us,
and we're the ones doing it to ourself.
And, and what, what that means in terms of
the mechanics is that the, the journey's
about saying yes to your own beingness,
saying yes to the truth of what and who
you are, saying yes to your evolution.
And what does that yes mean?
It means to use, use the tools.
It means to continue to
learn newer and better tools.
It means to ask for support
when you're stuck, and that's
what doing it yourself means.
It doesn't mean you have to,
like, you know, do it by yourself.
That's the, that's the- Yeah ⦠like,
we're co-created on this planet
to be with others, to receive
from others, to give to others.
That's the mechanic of creation.
When we say, "No one's gonna
come to help you," it's you
are the author of your life.
Audree: And- And you have to choose
Michael: Yes.
Y- And, and, and the, the, the
mechanics are set- To take- ⦠up
that you have to say yes again
and again, and again, and again.
That is the mechanic.
That's self-mastery.
So it's not like you say yes, "I
said yes, you know, last year.
I'm good now."
No.
It's what are you choosing today?
Audree: Moment to moment.
Michael: What are you saying yes to today?
What are you saying yes
to each hour of your day?
What are you saying yes to
each minute of your day?
And it's not about being perfect.
It's just about is there enough diet of
evolution to create the trajectory of
your life that will lead to the shift-
Audree: Right,
Michael: that's-
that you want for your life.
That's- It's your life.
You can s- you know?
Audree: That's why we say, "What if it
were true you're creating your reality?"
And it used to be really big on
our website, and I don't know what
happened when we redesigned it.
It kinda- And, and
Michael: the whole thing doesn't,
doesn't even make sense to me anymore
'cause it, it, for me, it's, like,
such a dumb question 'cause the, the-
Audree: It's a great question
Michael: It's dumb
because it- No, it's not
like, for me, it's like- It's a
great- ⦠it's just so obviously true.
Yeah, but it- And people
have had so many experiences.
We're just in denial of it.
Audree: It's a greatâ¦
So it's a- It's a
Michael: good question that way
Audree: It's a great question.
It's a
Michael: great question.
Audree: What if it were true that
you're creating your reality?
That's it.
That's all you have to ask yourself.
What if, what if it's, what if it's true?
Michael: Right.
That's what they said to you, right?
They said, "No one's coming to save you."
'Cause you're creating your own reality
Audree: Right, and then I had the
dream when I was four Yeah ⦠then
I had the whole experience with
my son, and look at me now.
Michael: Hmm.
Audree: You know, I do not
have this stuff perfected, yet-
Michael: You're a
beautiful work in progress
Audree: Oh, thank you, darling.
I think, um, for me, it's like- Actually,
Michael: everyone on the planet is
⦠Audree: you're the problem and you're
the solution, which means that you
have way more control than you're
giving yourself credit for And
Michael: if you don't think
so, you're victimizing yourself
and disempowering yourself
Audree: Yes
Michael: Fun fact
Audree: Be more gentle because you're
just as fucked up as the rest of us.
Michael: Hmm.
Yeah
All right.
Ready to close?
Audree: Mm-hmm.
Michael: All right.
Let's take three minutes
Audree: Before we close,
I wanna say something.
Is that going back to the Sistine
Chapel with the finger of God
touching the finger of man, there's
a transmission in the center.
If you actually, like, can imagine
yourself in the middle of that
Where the two fingers are touching,
or they're barely touching, and you
place yourself in the middle of that
Something shifts in your field and
you can have access to your truth
And I was doing that, and I realized
that that is the Itu mantra.
That's what the Itu mantra is.
That's why there's always these stories
about how humans are God's favorite.
You know
There's something in those
stories, the m- mythology
There's a reason
And if you think about God being
everywhere in everything, well, or you
can think about from quantum physics, the
Higgs boson particle, the God particle.
Like there's something moving
within all of creation.
You, me, the trees, the
plants, the animals.
There's this one binding energetic
You know, principle or
Michael: Mechanic
Audree: Particle
that unifies all of creation together
Which how you can say, you
know, I am God incarnated in
human form because everything is
There's only one source
And so why wouldn't
We be connected to that.
Michael: Mm.
Audree: The intelligence of all
of creation flows within you,
around you, within everything else.
Michael: It's not the
Force from Star Wars.
It's the Source.
The Source.
May the Source be w- with you.
Audree: May the Source be-
' Michael: Cause it always is.
We just don't notice it.
I
Audree: mean, we are that.
Michael: Yeah.
Audree: And so while we're our
own individuated beings creating
our own experience, what are
we creating the experience for?
Do you wanna know the meaning of life?
Michael: Yeah.
Audree: The universe and everything
Michael: I, uh,
you say I'm a stickler for truth,
and you said, you know, something
about being God's favorite,
humanity being God's favorite.
And actually, technically, in some
sense, that's actually completely true.
Um, because in all the planets with
sentient beings, in all this universe,
in all, really all this universe-
Audree: Mm-hmm
Michael: um, that this evolution
of the deviation is getting
kicked off on this planet.
So-
Audree: Yeah
⦠Michael: um, does that make
humanity God's favorite?
I, I don't think God has favorites, but
you know, it doesn't work like that.
I think everything's God's favorite.
But, you know, in some flavor that,
that there is a truth in that.
Audree: Or that nobody is
going to save you, right?
And yet we're gifted the E2 mantra, and
that's such a powerful transmission,
a direct transmission of a vibrational
frequency that dissolves everything.
Michael: Right.
So nobody's gonna
Audree: s- Instantaneously
Michael: Let's just
unpack that a little bit.
I know we're over time here, but- Yeah
this is, this is important.
No one's gonna save you means that
you have to do it yourself and all
the tools around you from the people
willing to give you the support
you need when you go ask for it.
Audree: Mm-hmm.
Michael: And look for it.
And make, let go of the things
in your life that you're
prioritizing in front of that.
That, that's kind of it.
Which ties back to that whole,
you know, when you come back
from a yoga retreat and-
Audree: Right
⦠Michael: the conflict anyway.
All right, I'm good.
Audree: I'm good.
Michael: All right.
Well, thanks for joining us.
Audree: Let's be evolutionary.
