The Mind Clings to 1% of Potential and Pretends It's Great

Michael: Welcome to our living room

So we were talking about-- It's
always the way it starts, isn't it?

We're talking about something.

We're talking about how there's
this notion or meme of people

only use 20% of their brain.

Audree: 10% of their brain.

Michael: Sorry, 10% of their brain.

And, uh, and I looked
this up earlier, and I-

' Audree: Cause you're a stickler for facts.

You can't just say something
in a conversation with Michael-

Michael: Well-

… Audree: without him looking up
the facts to see if factually

what you're saying is true.

How did we even get on this conversation?

Michael: I don't know.

And, and well, so, so there's a reason
for that, is that when we're, you know,

really in this business for ourselves of
understanding the mechanics of creation

for our own, um, you know, our, our
really our own use, our own practical

application in changing our reality
and living as source consciousness,

it turns out that even 0.01%

falsehood is lethal, right?

And that's the, uh…

Any, any, any aspect of deviation.

And so that's, you know,
Ari called me a stickler.

It's more like a, there, there's a,
there's a big yes in my system for the

value of precision where it matters.

And so what I see energetically is that
when there's a, uh, uh, a, a falsehood in

the system or a misperception or a, you
know, casting something that isn't quite

true, that what that does is it creates
a, a, a, like a kind of a, a vulnerability

in the structure, which is how the, the,
the imprint of the deviation and the

lower frequency stays alive in our being.

So it's, it's really about, you know,
I'm just feeling this energetically now.

We've never really talked about this.

But it's like, um, you know, if
you're, if you're creating a, an

energetic sphere around your being

that is whole and integrated,
there can't be holes in it, right?

Then it's not whole, right?

So if there's a, uh, like, like
dirt or a, or a, or a ripple.

And actually, interestingly, and I
mean, it seems like I was prepared for

this in my training because this is how

W- in the, in the better organizations,
the better projects, we approached

building software systems where
there was zero tolerance for dirt.

There was zero tolerance for mess.

And the reason for that is, um,
very, very simple, is think, think

of like a world-class kitchen.

It's pristine.

Everything has its place.

Dirty things are immediately put up in
the cleanup area for, for, for cleanup.

So everything is clean and fully
supportive of creation at all times.

Audree: And everything is functioning.

Michael: And everything is functioning.

And so when we…

At, at its full capacity.

And so when we look at untruth, we
look at distortion, what it does

is it, it, it, it limits function.

The dirt in the kitchen limits
the ability of the cook to,

to cook a world-class meal.

The, the, the, the, you know, unkept
installation procedure or build

procedure or unclean code or unclean
design or missing documentation

is the dirt in a software system.

And of course, it's hard for people
to even understand this 'cause we're

used to living in these environments
that are a mess, that are, that

are cluttered, that are not clean.

And, you know, this is the, the, you
know, what I saw throughout my career as

working with software when I was doing
that, was this, this im- the importance

of cleanliness, the importance of, of,
of this purity that gives the unlock.

And then I'm just playing forward in,
in my career, you know, when I was

working with Audrey doing leadership
training, or even before that when

I was talking about culture and
transformation, that there's this…

Wow, and going back to my first book, "An
Agile Adoption and Transformation Survival

Guide," where I looked at all these
different approaches for transformation

to say, "Where's there truth in these, and
where's there, you know, partial truth?

And what, what can we harness for the
transformation of our organization?"

And now we're looking at what
can we harness for the, the

transformation of, of, of a, of
an individual, of our own being.

And there's this

This essence, this requirement
of, I think the, the Shi

sometimes use the word integrity.

There's the integrity.

When we have integrity, if you're
in a spaceship and your spaceship

has integrity, you know, all the air
is gonna stay in, and you're gonna

survive and go on your mission.

If y- your spaceship doesn't have
integrity, if your, your, your field of

what you're giving value to and allegiance
to doesn't have integrity, all the air's

gonna go out, and you're gonna die.

I mean, that, that's like the mechanics
of what happens when you don't have

integrity of a, of your, your spaceship.

And you are your spaceship.

You are the vehicle that's
traveling through the

trajectory of your incarnation.

I mean, that's what you
are as consciousness.

So yeah.

Audree: So going now- Truth of
the matter … going back to, to

using 10% of your, of your brain.

Michael: Right.

So, so I, I, I just, I just threw this in.

My, my favorite right now is just using
Google search and clicking AI mode.

And anyway, that, that seems to be
a really, um, really fast way to get

re- reasonably clear information.

And it said, well, the myth came in as
follows, is that some- someone said,

you know, in the 1890s, they said,
"Well, people are only using a fraction

of their potential," which has been
true throughout all the deviation.

Uh, and then in "Think and Grow
Rich," someone in the preface wrote,

changed it to mental potential.

And then somewhere the 10% came
in, 10% of mental potential.

And then people started doing,
um, you know, when they started

working with brains, they, they
started activating the brain to see

whether there'd be a body movement.

And, uh, they said, "Oh, only 10% of the
brain creates body movement, therefore

the other 90% doesn't do anything."

It was only later they realized,
oh, wait a second, this is actually

doing a lot of important things.

And it's…

And so the, so the truth is you
are using 100% of your brain

Operating low frequencies of the
deviation to create limitation

and challenge in your life.

And you're using 100% of it.

Like, it, it is, it is receiving and
transmitting low frequency signals

because that's what has been going on
for you for, for, you know, this entire

lifetime or previous lifetimes or
parallel realities or whatever's going

on with you as an incarnated being.

And so when we look at that, you know, we
can say, well, the truth isn't that you're

only using 10% of the, of your brain.

The truth is you're only using-- Oh,
we've done this with y- with living,

you know, our incarnational blu-
blueprint, with living your human design.

It's like the truth is you're living
less than 1% of your potential.

Or if you're extraordinarily successful in
your life and everything is going amazing,

then you're living 5% of your potential.

That's pretty much the breakdown for
planet Earth right now in the deviation.

And so the phrase, and I think
this is what the, the truth is, is

that people are only living a small
fraction of their perc- potential.

And even the 10% figure is wrong.

I mean, it's just kind of a made
up number that someone pulled out

of thin air, you know, for, I don't
know, for explanatory purposes.

It just kind of stuck.

So that's the myth of it,
the myth and the truth.

The truth, the, I mean, the essence of it,
of not living our potential is the truth.

And looking at this journey, this journey
is this aspect of the yes in our system

for, yes, I want to live my potential.

I want to move beyond what
I've experienced in my life.

Audree: Beyond my limitations.

Michael: Mm-hmm.

Audree: Oh.

Michael: So that's where this all started

And the thing here, now if you
start to think about moving beyond

Audree: So I, I just wanna go back
for a moment- Sure … because you're,

you're saying, "Oh, we use 100% of our
brain, just not at 100% potential."

That's what you're saying?

Michael: So

Yes.

So if you think about our, our, our brain
like a, like a gas, like an engine- Mm-hmm

… we're putting in really dirty fuel.

Audree: Yes, and-

Michael: And we're getting,
like, barely any output.

I

Audree: still don't believe that
we're using 100% of our brain.

I think that there's, I think the brain,
like the ocean, is greatly unexplored.

Because there's people that have
strokes or they have brain damage and/or

they're born with certain abilities
that, that their brain, their brain

comes alive in certain aspects or
places in the brain where, um, like

people, just ordinary people, don't
have those parts of their brain active.

Or they're active, but they're
active at a very low percent- Mm-hmm

or potential

Mike You know, people have strokes and
then all of a sudden they're speaking

a different language, or there's people
that can actually move objects with their

minds, and they have certain abilities.

So I, um, that's where I, I was debating
with you, not that we don't use all

of our brain or we use our brain and
it's, it's not at its fullest potential,

but there are phenomenons that we
don't understand about the brain.

So-

Michael: Right.

So I'll go for a different metaphor now.

Audree: Yeah.

So if you imagine the- If
you wanna have precision

… Michael: if you imagine, like, the
brain like a, like a machine that

requires power, if it's on the low
power frequencies on- it's only

gonna operate in very limited ways.

Yes.

Like basic, basic functioning at, at
a low level of, of functioning, right?

It's, you know, it's kinda like, you
know, using an AI with, you know,

instead of, like, 100,000 tokens,
it has, you know, 500 tokens, right?

It's gonna come up with answers, but
they're not gonna be very good, right?

'Cause- Yes … it doesn't have the,
the capacity- Mm-hmm … to do more.

And so it's like, this is what I'm
experiencing right now, feeling into it.

It- it-- the, the, the sense I'm getting
or what I'm seeing is that, that the

higher frequencies bring it alive.

Like, like in the movie Independence Day
or Independence Day 2, when the aliens

come back, the spaceship comes alive.

Audree: Mm-hmm.

Michael: Right?

Mm-hmm.

And then suddenly it can work.

Audree: Right.

Michael: And so it feels more like that.

It's like when the, when the frequencies
are there, when the energetics are there,

then the, the functioning turns on, right?

And so that's what potential is.

And so that's what this-- You know, that's
why people talk about these Siddhi powers,

you know, these powers of telekinesis,
uh, telepathy, the knowing, the, you know,

the, the direct knowing of information and
so on, all these different capabilities.

And it's documented, people have had
them, and, you know, mystics have had

them in various different lineages
and traditions around the world,

and saints throughout history, and

Audree: all- Supposedly they could fly.

Michael: Yeah.

All this stuff, right?

So this is all there within the potential
of the, the human energetic anatomy and

energetic physiology o- of, of what's
possible, not just the, the, the brain

itself, but the whole, the whole s-
the system as a, a biological computer

housing system for our consciousness,
that now that ca- capability's

there as, as a latent capability.

And that's the, you know, I think
the Shia have said this at one point.

Well, that's the proof.

That's the proof that human beings
are designed for evolution, and

they're not operating as intended
right now in the deviation, because

the evolution is possible, right?

The evolution of consciousness, the
evolution of, of these capabilities.

Like, I think of where, where I've gone
in terms of my ability to access direct

experience and knowing of creation.

I mean, that's what was just happening
earlier on this podcast, is I was taking-

a topic I'd never explored before.

I was simply opening to experiencing
it and feeling it, and then I got

the information of how it worked.

Audree: Right.

Michael: Right,

Audree: so it's- Without going to Google.

Michael: Without, well, I
mean, it's not even on Google.

I mean, it's not even in with
the, the human knowledge sphere.

I mean, and we haven't even talked about
it or had this information before either.

This is like, this is net new
understanding of the mechanics of

creation that didn't exist anywhere in
the thought sphere of humanity, or maybe

Audree: it existed in- Right, I
just did that yesterday with some,

I got some information that I f-
I was able to feel into something.

What was it?

Do you remember?

Well,

Michael: you had a coaching call with
one of our students and, and, and,

and, but, and you do that every single
time that you're in the situation

with, where you're supporting a person
through their evolutionary process,

is you just feel in the situation, and
you know what's going on with them, you

can feel what's going on with them, and
then you know what the next step is.

Audree: Mm-hmm.

Michael: Right?

So, so y- you know, again, this
is, y- you've, you've been trained

on this initially with, you know,
Barbara Brennan and high sense

perception and all this sort of stuff.

Audree: All the coaching
training that I've had.

Michael: Mm-hmm.

And then, then of course, you know,
what's been, since I've known you, of

course, this capability's blossoming.

I mean, you've always had a good
sense of intuition, but a- and now

I'd say it's kinda like getting
spooky accurate and, and precise.

It's like, oh, it, it's
really, uh, what's that?

Star Wars?

"I'm experiencing a
disturbance in the force."

Like, there's this, there's this
knowing, there's this knowing of, oh

wait, there's a ripple in the field.

What's going on here?

Oh, this is what it is.

This is what's happening.

And so that is the, the
capability that everyone has, and-

Audree: Well, I

Michael: mean, just for- … this is
what's growing even for us at this time

… Audree: just, just an ordinary daily,
everybody has had this, where they

have a, a problem, something's going
on, they need to find a solution, and

they go for a walk in nature, they go
for a run, they, they're in the shower.

Happens a lot in the shower because your,
your energetic field, your electromagnetic

field is activated through water.

That's why there's all these sacred
sites are built on top of, you know,

some sort of underground water system.

Um, you know, everybody
has this potential.

I think that's what I'm getting at- Mm

that, that it's, it's not that somebody is
extraordinary and they have extraordinary

powers, it's just that the brain has
potential that every single person has.

Michael: Well, see, it's all perception.

Is it, you know, from the
perception of the deviation, it's

extraordinary or extraordinary.

From the perception of the natural
function of a human being, it's ordinary.

Audree: Mm-hmm.

Michael: So it's both
together at the same time.

Uh, you know, and I was thinking about
some of the, some of the research we're

doing, I'm not gonna get into the details
here, um, in terms of understanding the,

the physiology of, of, of what's happening
within the, uh, the autonomic nervous

system of, of the breath and, um, and
the whole, you know, um, central nervous

system going into fight or flight and all,
all of that or moving away from that, and

the, the self-regulation there as well as
the regulation of the, of the, the mind.

And y- I've had this sense for a long
time is that when we're moving to places

of, of psychologic-- higher psychological
safety, of, of greater stillness, we're,

we're not in fight or flight, we're not
triggered, we're not stressed out, or

the stress levels have gone down, or
the triggering's gone down, and we're

in this more peaceful, open f-flow
state, what happens is, is a quietening

of the brain, and we're able to make,
uh, connections between electrical

impulses that are normally very quiet.

It, it's like this, if there's so much--
when there's so much noise going on in

our physiology, in our minds from the,
the stress and the fight or flight and

the gotta do this and the grr, grr, grr
and the go, go, go, go, go, what it does

is it, it, it locks that, the whole, um,
biological system that we're in of, of

mind and, and physiology into a, that,
the, the low frequency state where we're

operating in a small, small fraction of
our potential because the, all, all the,

all, all of that is, you know, pumping up
the survival mechanism of the body with

cortisol and adrenaline and, and all that.

And, you know, it's been going on for
so long, our bodies are in a shutdown

mode where sometimes all we need to do
is really, really rest and have deep

rest, deep rest to find that balance.

That's why people love this, you, you
know, the, some of these breathing

techniques or these deep breathing
practices 'cause there's that reset.

So our bodies are operating in such a
degraded state that the early work in

this journey is starting to get that,
the body out of that, out of that

constant stress and fight or flight.

And when that happens, what happens within
our physiology is, is our physiology

calms down and is in a state where the
restorative functions are operating, the,

the rebuilding, the restructuring happens.

And in that stable, calm, higher
psychological safety state

we're getting the full blood
supply to our frontal cortex.

Our brain, our physiology is not
busy s- cr- with a fight or flight

or struggling against the fight or
flight or struggling against its

own being to try to find balance.

And in that place, then
that's where greater levels

of our intelligence operate.

And

This is not about the mind.

This is actually about anti-mind.

It's about not having the mind active.

And I know as a, a software developer,
there's this very beautiful technique

called the Pomodoro Technique,
where the Pomodoro Technique says

work for 25 minutes on a task and
then take a five-minute break.

And what the five-minute break
does is it unlocks the power

of inaction, of, of rest.

25 minutes of action,
five minutes of rest.

And what that does is that break…

And oftentimes people say when you
got a really big problem, you know,

go do something, like Audrey said,
like walk in nature or go see a movie

or whatever, because when our mind is
not trying to grr or trying to think

of something and figure it out, what
happens is when we st- let g- let go, or

this is the principle here, we let go,
and then the intelligence can come in.

Audree: Right, because
when you are struggling

You're creating resistance.

And when you let go of the
struggle or you rest, that's

when everything begins to flow.

Your whole entire being, your, your
muscles relax and let go, your energy

field relaxes and let go, you know.

And did we do the light
code cosmic intelligence?

'Cause all- Yeah … all
the answers are there.

All the answers are available.

Even Think and Grow Rich talks about this.

All the information is in the ether

All, all the answers.

That's why you can, you can slow
down, shut down, and open up, and

then you receive the information.

That's the phenomenon that Think
and Grow Rich, um, is based on

Michael: Right.

So, so just as a very basic thing,
you can look at your physiology

of what's happening with your, your, your
fight or flight system and your stress

and your level of peacefulness and so on.

Because it's a direct indicator
of the intelligence in your

potential that you're unlocking.

You can also look at the, the
contents of your thoughts.

Are there negative attack thoughts?

Are there, you know, what's
actually happening there?

What's the frequency of the negativity?

What's the severity of it?

How often are you going into emotional
disturbances within your physiology of,

you know, connecting in with some aspect
of the self-hatred of being unworthy

or shame or-- 'cause what that's doing,
all those things are just signals.

And we're not saying there's
anything wrong with that.

We're just saying that's
the normal human condition.

It's perfect.

Um, that's the, the situation we're in.

It's a situational assessment
of what's happening.

And the, the road to accessing
our potential is through the, the

letting go of that, is through
the purification out of that into

the truth of what and who we are.

And the truth of what and who
we are is just, just isness.

There's nothing, there's nothing
to, to fix, nothing to do.

Audree: Right.

Michael: And in that, the, the,
the physical body, the mental

body, the emotional body, that's
where there's actually this final

complete psychological safety.

Not until then.

Everything until then is just layers
of, of unsafety and, and triggering and,

and, and with it, the degradation of
our, our functioning of our potential.

Audree: Yeah.

So they've done studies with, uh,
millionaire mindsets, like what

are their, their daily habits.

And what they found the commonality
is that they wake up and they don't

have the TV going with the news on.

They don't have, um, you know, it's
like they have a very quiet morning.

They might get up and, and go for a walk
or do some sort of exercise, but they're

not in, they're not in a, a, a, any
kind of environment that would induce

this, this fight or flight response.

So it, it's, it's that they're
not reading the newspaper.

They're not watching the news.

They don't have, you know, uh, a certain
music on that would create some sort of,

you know, music vibration sound affects
your, your whole entire system too.

So-

If you think about that, it, it's,

it's about

what is your full potential?

Like, what is limiting you?

And you can…

And, and, and it's just
a little tiny thing.

Like I always tell our students, you
know, "What, what are you waking up to?

Do you have an alarm?

If you need an alarm, what type…

Is it, is it this dramatic, you know,
loud, blaring sound to wake you up

or is it gentle chimes waking you up?

Do you put the TV on immediately in
the morning or are you listening to,

you know, heavy metal music or even,
you know, songs about depression

and loneliness and breakup?"

And, you know, what i- what are,
what is your environment like?

Is your-

Michael: What frequencies are
you digesting- Yeah … and

giving allegiance to?

Audree: You know, what does
your environment look like?

Is your house filled with
s- clutter, and is it dirty?

Are your, you know, the dishes in the
sink left over from the night before

Michael: Hmm.

Audree: This is funny 'cause
I used to watch The Nanny.

Or not The Nanny, but there was this

Um, there was a TV show in Britain
about this, you know, like, uh,

children and families or children
that were unruly and, and the parents

couldn't manage their children.

And if…

when she walked into the house, the
first thing that you can see in all

these homes were the house was in chaos.

There was just stuff everywhere.

And, and even the, the, the nanny that
would come in to try to help the, the

parents re-parent the child without
punishment, you know, they never connected

the environment to the child's behavior.

And I always found that
fascinating because

It's not, it's not, "Oh, clean up
the environment and everything will

change," but it's all part of it.

What are you laughing about?

Michael: I think it was around, uh, 2011

I was, uh, I was coaching a number of
different teams at this organization,

and, uh, with Agile, and, uh, you
know, part of it was having visible

boards with sticky notes on it to--
so people knew what the work was.

And then, uh, I think one of the
things that I, I, uh, had these

teams doing is, like, keep-keeping
their boards clean and tidy.

And then one of the teams…

Oh, I-- So funny.

They had a good sense of humor.

But they really messed with me, and
they, they turned a bunch of all the,

like, a lot of the sticky notes, like,
in, in funny angles and stuff like that.

And so when I came in, I'm like, "What?

What?"

And I cleaned it up,
and then they told me.

That's the le- I think that's
the level of, of sticklers.

Like, it all counts.

Everything counts.

Every, every pen stroke counts.

Like, is the sticky note legible?

Is it, uh, is it written knowing that
other people are gonna read it, or is

it just done to get it quickly finished?

I mean, every- everything
counts, every little bit.

And, and, and what, what I was getting
is that I was unable to communicate

the essence of what that was.

I mean, I, I guess in somewhere in
my being I knew it, but I couldn't

communicate it, uh, 'cause I
didn't have that, that full depth

of understanding in my being.

But I'm just thinking of how funny
that incident was and, you know,

bringing us back to the term stickler.

Right?

It can look like a stickler from,
from the perspective of the deviation.

From the perspective of the truth of what
and who you are, it's the, it's the, uh…

What is that saying?

Cleanliness is next to godliness.

Audree: Yeah, there's
a lot of truth in that.

Michael: There's a lot of truth in that.

And it's not-- That doesn't mean
you have to wear white, you know?

That's not what it's about.

But it's about the care and the
love of your own being, and the

love of your own being that's
expressed through your environment.

Mm-hmm.

Like, why would you do that to yourself?

Why would you have that mess?

I mean, really that's just
a symbol of the, the, the

self-hatred of, of one's own being.

Audree: Mm-hmm.

Michael: And that's what you were
saying going back to the nanny show.

That's what, you know, was being
expressed, is just the self-hatred

expressed and shown visible
in the physical environment.

And that kind of takes us back to the,
the, the, the, the leadership trainings

of culture, you know, or the energy
and the structure are just mirrors.

Audree: Yeah.

Michael: It's all there

Audree: For eyes to see and ears to hear.

It's all there

Michael: So that's why I was laughing

Audree: Yeah

Remember when we first met and I was
living in California and you were

living in Toronto ? And I w- and
I, we were FaceTiming and I said,

"Show me around your apartment."

Michael: Right.

Audree: And I was like, "Open
your drawers," or something.

Like, I wanted to see ins-

Michael: Inside cupboards
in the kitchen and

Audree: stuff, yeah.

Michael: Uh-huh.

Audree: I wanted to see
exactly- In the, in the, in

Michael: the closet.

Yeah

… Audree: yeah, how neat and
tidy you actually were.

Michael: Yeah.

It was a test.

Audree: It was.

It was s- 'cause my, my, uh,
my ex-husband was the opposite,

and it would drive me crazy.

Michael: Hmm.

Audree: Because I, like, I need the
environment to be neat and tidy.

Hmm.

Like, for me, there's a,
there's a, a definite…

If there's unorganized chaos, like,
I don't have things on the counters.

You know, people are like,
"Oh, well, it's convenient."

You know, I just reach for my shaving
cream on the counter or my toothpaste

on the counter or my perfume or my
deodorants on the, on the counter and

You know, if you, if you go to
somebody that is very wealthy, you

don't see them living like that.

There's a, there's, there's a,

there's this smoothness.

There's this non-chaos.

There's not this fighting f- for survival.

Michael: Right, 'cause if you
think about it, y- you know,

why do I need it on the counter?

Well, I wanna optimize the one
second or two seconds it'll

take me to open a drawer, right?

I'm like, what?

But then- Wait, wait.

So, so wait, you're saying those
two seconds are more important

than having a clean environment.

And, and that's, you know, if
you think about it, some level,

that's the equation going on.

That's what we've been trained in.

Like I remember, I used to be like
almo- like not almost, but pathological

in terms of optimizing for time.

Audree: Oh my God, IKEA.

So I, I just wanna say something.

IKEA- Wait … is trying it, so
they have all these rooms set up.

You know, these examples of, of, of
all their products in, in a, in a, in

a living environment so you can get
these ideas, right, of how to decorate

your house with all their products.

And you walk through IKEA

And each environment that's set
up is a complete and utter mess.

It's cluttered with stuff.

And, and people are like,
"Oh, that's how you live.

That's how the regular, ordinary people
live, the common people live," you know?

And what IKEA is training you to do
is to buy things, guys, is to buy

as much shit from them as possible
and fill your rooms with stuff.

And what that does is it lowers
your vibrational frequency.

It clutters your mind.

It, it…

Your whole entire nervous
system cannot calm down.

And, you know, then what they
started to do was they started

to leave the beds messy.

And, um, this is something very
fascinating and interesting.

In AA and in, uh…

I worked at a residential, uh, addiction
center, and one of the things that they

do is you make your bed every morning.

You make your bed.

And there's a reason for that,
and the reason is beyond routine.

It is you are cleaning up your
environment, and it's very important

when you're detoxing and you're
moving out of addictive, um, habitual

patterns, and that is that you're
cleaning up your environment.

Your environment is neat and tidy,
so your mind is neat and tidy,

so your body is neat and tidy.

It's-- There's a…

And, you know, I, I
lived-- I had a roommate.

I lived in, um, her townhouse and,
you know, there were, like, five of

us living there, something like that.

One, two…

Four of us.

And literally, she had it set up, her
kitchen was set up so that you took

the garbage bag out of the container,
and you folded it and put it neatly

in a drawer above where the, the,
um, the cabinet for the garbage was.

And I…

Like, when I first moved in there,
I was like, "What the-" Like, and

then one day I was just sitting…

I was just standing there and I was, I was
folding the garbage bags to put into the

drawer, and I just had this moment where
I was just in this high vibrational state

and I was like, "Oh, this is our temple.

I'm folding garbage bags for God."

Like that is, you know, that cleanliness
next to godliness is that you are source

consciousness incarnated in physical form.

And as such, you're treating…

Your environment is your temple.

Your body is your temple.

And I know we've heard this over
and over again, yet we ignore that

We ignore that

And so it's, it's

You know, going back to that whole IKEA
thing, they started making the beds messy.

So they would, they would show the
example of the, the, the sheets

and the pillows and the blankets
and everything to sell, you know?

But they started making the beds messy.

Michael: Yeah, so-

Audree: And that would dr-
oh, that drove me crazy.

So

Michael: there were, I think there…

So, so it's all about the money, right?

And I was just looking this up, I just
did a quick search, is that, uh, IKEA

uses strat- layout strategy called the
fixed path design to guide shoppers

through a specific maze-like route to
manipulate the human navigation habits

to increase shopping time and boost buys.

So-

Audree: It's like being in a casino.

Yeah.

You can't find the…

There's no windows.

Michael: So what it does is it
gives you sensory overload, and

it gives you a sense of not being
in control 'cause it's a mess.

And what happens is, you know
how these have these shortcuts?

This is, this is standard deviation.

They're not, I mean, this is just nor-
normal deviation, so it's, I mean,

no, no business is any different.

It's just a matter of degree.

But the shortcuts, this is interesting,
the shortcuts give the illusion of

control, but you don't really have control
of navigating to section to section.

And, you know, it, it activates impulse
buying because, oh, I don't know

if I can get back to this section.

So there's like this lack of control.

And so what I'm seeing now, which we ha-
you know, we've talked about this before,

but is that the, the messiness is part
of the activating the lack of control

feeling, which is the fear and the-

And so from my view is there's
nothing specific about this

company we've been talking about.

I mean, this is the, the
business standard across-

how organizations are
run and the deviation.

It's about extracting the greatest profit
with the least effort and the least cost,

and the greatest level of exploitation.

And this is the business normal.

That's why people, especially younger
people, are turning to companies that are,

you know, eco-conscious or, um, they're,
you know, environmentally conscious

or they're, you know, they, you know,
they, they, they can trace their supply

chain or, you know, all these things,
uh, you know, co- consciously produced

goods or, you know, and, you know…

And th- that's why there's all this
stuff happening is 'cause there's an

awakening in people of like, "Wait
a second, we don't wanna deal with

suppliers and stores and organizations
that are exploiting their people,

that are exploiting customers or-"

Audree: Mm-hmm.

Michael: Or you even had this thing of
these, these ads you'd see on, on, you

know, you know, playing, playing this,
you know, your favorite maze game,

where they pop up this ad for this,
you know, fraudulent ad for some, you

know, bogus thing that looks so good you
could say, "Oh yeah, I'd like that for,

th- that, that product for that price."

And you go buy it, and it
comes, and it's this junk.

Audree: It is completely-

Michael: Right?

… Audree: not what they had-

Michael: Right

… Audree: not what they advertised.

They advertised, I'll, I'll just say
this, these f- like fake flowers.

And we're selling our house,
so I was like, "Oh, that would

look really great on our porch,"
these big, huge fake hydrangeas.

Yeah.

That's what they were.

And I was like, "That would be perfect."

Michael: Yeah.

Audree: And I buy them, and y-
you have to understand, in the

advertising, the box was like four feet.

It was a four-foot box that they were
opening up and then displaying these

huge hydrangea bouquets on the porch.

And what I got was a

I don't know, a 12 or 18-inch box It was

Michael: a 12-inch box.

It

Audree: was very small.

It was a 12-inch box- 12,

Michael: yeah

… Audree: with these bouquets of hydrangeas
that I could've g- bought at, at

Michael's hobby store for a dollar a
piece, and I paid $85- Mm … for this

Michael: product.

Yeah.

So, so, so again, we're just talking
about, like, this is the, the thing.

It's like, well, you know, companies
can afford to advertise 'cause they're

selling false products with ridiculous
margins because they're not delivering- Mm

on the goods that they promise.

And because, you know, they're just some
random Joe vendor that people purchase

from, you know, that's, that's it.

Audree: Yeah, I got $15.

They're like, "Oh, well, you could
send this back to us, but it's not…

I- you can't send it back to where
y- it came from, and it's gonna

cost you more to send it back."

And-

Michael: Right

… " Audree: We might not receive it."

Yeah.

And I was just like, "Oh, here we go."

Michael: Yeah, here we go, right?

Audree: Yeah.

Michael: Um, so, so- So

Audree: I took the, the-

Michael: Yeah, so, so-

… Audree: the 15% discount.

Michael: Right.

So what this shows is there are
moments where Audrey's, uh…

Actually, I think just generally
I'm better at the whole feeling

the integrity of things.

Audree: Well, you're very suspicious.

Michael: Yeah.

So, um-

Audree: But hey, if I didn't do
that, I wouldn't have, we wouldn't

Michael: have been- We wouldn't
have this good story out of it.

Audree: Yeah.

So, but we're going- I think what
we're doing is we're going back to,

to your, your room, your environment
being cluttered with things.

And, and then we got into the
whole entire consumer spending-

Michael: Hmm

Audree: concepts.

Michael: It's all connected.

Audree: It is all connected.

Michael: Well, y- this just reminds
me of like the really, you know,

throughout my life, you know, looking
back, the energetic damage from

going to some of these stores, right?

I'm thinking of many, many
different examples right now.

And even now, when-- if I'm
going to a store like that, I'm

playing environment purification-

Audree: Right

Michael: on a loop.

Audree: Mm-hmm.

Michael: Because

let's just, you know, let's,
let's be safe out there, right?

And, and so I think part of what's
going on is that, um, without the,

the opening of our perceptual…

I'm saying this as an engineer and
scientist and, you know, who's pretty

much a, a muggle most of my life.

Without the op- really opening into the
awareness of, of, of how to perceive the

energetics of what's happening around us-

Audree: Can you turn the lights on?

Yeah.

It's kinda dark in here.

Michael: Um, you know, there,
really there's nothing we can

really do to navigate that.

Yeah.

So coming back to our potential.

So, you know, if you come
back to where we started this

conversation- I think soci- I, I,

Audree: I-

… Michael: that accessing our--

Audree: I,

Michael: I'm speaking, please.

Oh, okay.

Just let me finish.

Audree: Hold on.

Michael: Um, accessing our
potential is essential just to

keep ourselves safe in this world.

Audree: Well, what I was gonna say
was that in general, society is pretty

much brainwashed to be dumbed down.

Ah, thank you.

Michael: Let there be light.

Audree: It's really rainy outside.

Mm-hmm.

Michael: Hmm.

Mm-hmm.

Audree: It's a good day
to finish the light codes

Michael: Mm-hmm

Yeah

What do you got except your potential?

You know

That's the challenge is, you know,
the mind loves what it has, wants to

cling to that 1% of potential life
and pretend it's great and ignore

all the suffering it caused itself

There's a great safety for the mind in
the known 'cause the whole journey of,

of moving to your potential is to go
beyond what you know which is the unknown

And the unknown is actually the thing that

Really embracing the unknown is
what takes us beyond the mind

to the truth of what we are

I think there's the saying, "Get
comfortable with being uncomfortable."

Like the very thing we're listening
to is saying, "No, don't go there,

don't go there, don't go there."

I like what John Mark says.

He says, "Well, if your mind
says don't go there, go there."

It's like, it's like, it's like
the perfect … It's actually

telling you exactly what to do.

You just gotta do the opposite.

Audree: Right.

Well, I know in our journey that
being in the void, you have to be in

the void before creation, which we're
talking about the dismantling and

destruction of everything that you've
known beforehand, all the structure, all

the identity of who you think you are

You know, it's like even if you look at

Michael: Mm

… Audree: life in general, it's like in
order to start something new, something

has to die off, something has to, to
… You have to let go of or, or destroy.

Michael: So in order to get our potential,
we have to let go of our not potential.

Audree: Yeah.

And that's uncomfortable.

Uh.

Because then you're, you're g- you're
in, in the void and like even the

Shehabas, being in the void and being
uncomfortable in the void 'cause

you can't bring anything with you.

Michael: Mm.

Audree: In the void you can't bring the
old structure, the identity, the thoughts.

You know, the void is the void.

Mm.

There's nothing there.

Nothing exists in the void.

And can you be uncomf- Can you sit in that
space of being uncomfortable with nothing?

There's nothing to grab onto.

The mind wants to grab onto something- Ah

for its own existence, and it can't

Michael: I'm reminded of this expression
from extreme programming right

now of, "You ain't gonna need it."

And, uh, you know, it can sound
scary what, what's being said

about letting go of structure and
identity and blah, blah, blah.

And then, and then, and then, and
then for me, you know, when I've done

that, it's like, oh my God, it's so
much better on the other side of this.

It's like, oh, I didn't really need that.

Whoa, okay, that was just, that was
just the anchor holding me down.

Wow.

Yeah.

Okay.

Huh, I had no idea.

Audree: It re- also reminds me
when I was in breatharian training,

there was, there was, there's a
lot of, um, gathering together as

community or connection through food.

And when you stop eating food,
what happens to your connections?

My ex-husband, I was like,
"I'm, I'm becoming vegetarian.

I really just needed to become vegetarian
for my, my body to be healthy."

And he just looked at me and he
goes, "What about our relationship?"

Like, he literally said that to me.

Mm.

'Cause he's a hardcore meat eater, and
his whole entire identity is around

barbecue and barbecuing and smoking
things and having parties and…

Michael: Mm.

Audree: And I'm like, "That's not
gonna change our relationship."

But if I even I look at last year when
I wanted to lose weight, I told you,

"I'm not gonna eat with you anymore."

And it was, like, easier
for me to, to, to-

Michael: Or cook.

Audree: Yeah, or cook.

Surprise.

Michael: And I'm like, "Oh, good.

You're gonna look after yourself.

Okay, how do I cook?"

And then just I figured
it out 'cause, you know.

Audree: Because there's even … So
just to let you know how the

body functions, that when you're
cooking food, your body thinks it's

eating because it's smelling food.

Mm.

It's a very strange phenomenon.

And so your, so your, your m- your, your
whole entire, the way your body i- your

digestion works, your metabolism works,
it's not just on ingesting food, but

it's smelling food, it's seeing food.

Mm.

It's touching food.

Michael: Mm.

Audree: And, um- And
I, I, and I know this.

And w- when you're cooking,
you're also tasting food.

That's why if you ever see a, um,
a lot of chefs are, are a little

bit overweight, I'll say a little
bit, is because they're always in

an environment where there's food.

Michael: Mm.

Audree: And so even if they're
not testing it, tasting

I mean, how can you
cook without eating it?

You need to taste the food.

But even when you're smelling food,
your body thinks it's ingesting food,

and then there's this activation
within the- Mm … within the, you

know, storage of, of sugars and fats.

And I … And it's like I, I'm not a
scientist- Yeah … so I don't know.

But there's a lot that's being activated-
Mm … without actually overeating.

Mm.

Michael: So just to let you
know, we're, we're out of time.

Um, and so my, my comment on what
you just shared would be, to close

from on my side, is that what you're
speaking about is the, the patterns of

changing food and letting go of- Mm-hmm

existing structures of how we
think about food, how we eat food,

what foods we eat, and so on.

You know, these are- And how

Audree: food is connected
to- Right … con-

Michael: Relationship
and so on … social.

Yeah.

Yeah.

Uh, so that's, that's all just, that's
all really part of the deviation, is part

of the, the control and the lockdown.

And, and the journey of getting our
potential is to let go of all the controls

and all the lockdown to access our

Audree: potential.

Well, because the deviation, we're
always in survival mode, and so we

have these deeply ingrained habitual
patterns of just being in survival.

Mm-hmm.

And when you, when you move out of
them and you evolve out of those deeply

ingrained structures, everything changes.

Michael: Right.

You no longer need the f- that f-
food, way of eating food for survival.

You no longer need that comfort food.

You no longer need to h- eat that, to-
with that person for a relationship.

Like, there's no- Or

Audree: consume a lot of products-
Yeah … to, to have around your home.

Yeah.

Everything changes.

Michael: Very good.

Mm.

Audree: I'm, I'm complete.

Michael: Okay.

Let's close with, uh, three minutes.

Audree: Yeah.

Michael: Hmm.

Audree: Talk about deep rest

Michael: Thank you for joining us.

In 2009 I received Evolutionary Energetics, yet discovering it and embodying it are completely different. I've done the messy work: dissolved my ego, healed my deepest patterns, trusted guidance I couldn't see when everything rational screamed not to. I'm not a guru with all the answers. I'm a real person who happened to be born remembering cosmic truth, walked the uncomfortable path of living it, and learned how to make it practical.

Raised with logic and science, I started as the ultimate skeptic. In my AI PhD program, I discovered that human vision and cognition is controlled hallucination; we literally make up reality. After years in software architecture and management roles leading organizational transformations, the pattern became clear: the consciousness of the leader creates culture, culture creates outcomes. I hit the truth: I was the limiting factor in every change initiative. Meeting Audree transformed everything as our opposite approaches unlocked something extraordinary. Through 100+ leadership trainings, we didn't create this work, we received it, download by download, in an unfolding evolutionary process. I've done the messy work: learned to trust direct experience over logic, followed guidance that made no rational sense. I'm not a guru with all the answers. My passion is the mechanics of creation. I'm the bridge between worlds, translating cosmic downloads into step-by-step practical tools.
